We are looking for a maintenance Technician!
Position Responsibilities
- Confer with machine operators and group leaders to coordinate assigned preventative maintenance activities.
- Keep records of all machine’s preventative maintenance results.
- Check safety devices on all machines.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
- Work unscheduled shifts and overtime to ensure maintenance coverage and maximum production efficiency.
- Assist facility maintenance as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be certified to operate all assigned industrial lifts.
- Knowledge of basic repairs, welding, and cutting procedures, setting up and operating general machine shop equipment, and correct use of machinist’s measurement tools.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership, and able to work as a team player.
- Positive can-do attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in high-noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices.
- Ability to mount/dismount forklift utilizing three points of contact (two hands and one foot).
- Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.
- Ability to work in an elevated ambient temperature environment.
- Ability to utilize stepladders, extension, and fixed ladders.
- Ability to work at elevated work heights, mezzanines, roofs, decks, and/or mobile working platforms.
- The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds.
